OUTLINE ITINERARY

Saturday – We meet at Exeter about lunchtime, then by rail on the branch line to Exmouth, before heading to Beer for model railways and steam at Pecorama. Next we are off to Seaton to enjoy a lovely tram ride along the River Axe to Colyton. The day concludes by local train from Honiton to Pinhoe.

Sunday – Our first big day out commences by train on the Tarka Line to Barnstaple. We then head to Woody Bay for the historic Lynton & Barnstaple Steam Railway. After a round trip and refreshments we travel via Lynmouth and down Porlock Hill, enjoying spectacular coastal scenery en route, to Minehead. An afternoon of steam on the West Somerset Railway is followed by a pleasantly rural drive down the Exe Valley to Pinhoe.

Bank Holiday Monday – This outstanding circular tour takes us to South Devon and features our steam and river combination. We link the South Devon Railway between Totnes and Buckfastleigh, the beautiful River Dart sailing from Totnes to Dartmouth/Kingswear and the steam railway from Kingswear to Paignton.  All this is melded into a classic Inside Track
